OCO Submission to the Universal Periodic Review

The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is an important review of Ireland’s human rights record, which happens every five years. The next review takes place in November 2026, and other Member States of the United Nations will ask the Irish government questions about its laws and policies and make recommendations to strengthen the country’s compliance with international human rights law. In line with our role to promote the rights and welfare of children in Ireland, the OCO made a submission to the UPR about the changes Ireland needs to make to uphold the rights of all children.
