Book a Rights Workshop
Rights are all the things you need to live, grow and develop to be the best person you can be!
We help children and young people from schools and youth groups across Ireland better understand their rights under the UNCRC and how the OCO works to protect them. We listen to what they have to say. We make rights real by connecting children’s rights to their daily lives. We explore what can be done in Ireland to ensure that all children enjoy their rights.
All our workshops are age-appropriate, interactive and fun.

Travel assistance for workshops
If you are visiting the OCO offices from outside of Dublin, we can reimburse your travel expenses up to €650. After the workshop takes place, you will receive a form by email where you can fill in your details and submit your receipts. Our finance team will then process your reimbursement.

Who can book a workshop?
Primary and secondary school teachers, Transition Year Co-ordinators, CSPE/Politics & Society teachers, Student Council Co-ordinators, youth workers and young people can all book a workshop by visiting our online workshop booking form.
Where do workshops take place?
Workshops take place at our child-friendly offices, located at 52 Strand Street Great, North City, Dublin. Our office is a fun and accessible space. There is elevator access and space for wheelchairs. We have a fully equipped sensory room for young people who may need it.

When do workshops take place?
Workshops take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30am.
How long do workshops last?
Workshops last for 90 minutes.
Is there any cost involved?
There is no cost involved. Our workshops are free and if you are travelling from outside Dublin, we can reimburse you for your travel expenses.
How many bookings can I make?
We can only take two bookings per school in each academic year. This is to ensure as many schools as possible have the opportunity to participate.
How many children can attend?
The maximum number of students per workshop is 30, due to the size of our space.
I’m travelling from further away and would like to start my workshop a little later. What do I do?
After you have booked your workshop using the online workshop booking form, please email education@oco.ie to request a time change.
