What does the care system actually look like for a child in Ireland today?
It’s a tough question, and the answers aren’t always easy to hear. Our caseworker Katie Padden sees the reality every day through the complaints that come into our office. From children staying in unregulated accommodation to the struggle for stability, too many children are being let down by a system that’s meant to protect them.
We’re sharing their stories because things have to change. With nearly 6,000 children in care, we have a massive opportunity right now to fix the system and finally get it right.
