The Joint Committee on Health and Children issued an invitation for submissions relevant to primary care in the community on 14 October 2008 in order to assist it with the preparation of its own report on the issue.

The issues raised in this submission are: child welfare and protection; mental health services for children and young people; children in care and access to therapeutic services.
