Cad é Oifig an Ombudsman do Leanaí?

  • Is institiúid cearta daonna sinn.  Oibríonn muid chun cearta leanaí agus daoine óga in Éirinn a chothú.
  • Fiosraíonn muid gearáin a déantar faoi seirbhísí phoiblí do leanaí.
  • Ba bhreá linn go mbeadh cluas éisteachta tugtha do leanaí agus daoine óga, go dtabharfaí meas dóibh, ionas go mbeidh siad sona sábháilte acu ina gnáthshaol.

Under new measures announced by Government on August 18, businesses are to ensure that employees work from home where possible.

In line with these guidelines, we have adapted our work practices and so will not have as many staff present in the Office at this time. As a result there may be delays in responding to you if you contact us during this period.

We’d like to reassure you that we are still taking complaints and working to promote the rights of children. However, given the serious nature of the problems facing the country we expect there will be a delay in the processing of complaints and getting responses from public bodies about particular queries.

Due to restrictions arising from Covid 19 we are also unfortunately unable to accept walk-in complaints to the Office from members of the public at this time.

If you are concerned about the safety of child, please contact Tusla, the Child and Family Agency at or An Garda Síochana

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
