In July 2007, the Ombudsman for Children\u2019s Office received an invitation from the Committee on the Rights of the Child to submit information relevant to the situation in Ireland as regards the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict.
