Complaints Stats

Since the OCO was established in 2004, we have seen an increase in complaints received from an annual figure of 94 to an an annual figure of 1223 in 2010.

Information obtained through the complaints and investigation function provides a significant body of knowledge in relation to children’s experiences of services and service provision.

This knowledge assists the work of the Office in relation to the development of policy, practice and procedures that reflect the best interests of children and principles of good administration.
